If you thought Goldfrapp‘s visuals for Tales Of Us tracks like “Drew” and “Annabel” were cinematic in their presentation, wait until they’re projected on the big screen. Five of the album’s Lisa Gunning-directed clips — “Stranger,” “Laurel,” “Jo,” “Drew” and “Annabel” —  will hit various theaters across the United States as a filmic event to be shown on March 4, courtesy of Goldfrapp and Arts Alliance Media. (Catch specific locations here.) A press release notes that the 30-minute presentation will be “followed immediately by an exclusive live performance of classic Goldfrapp songs as well as selections from Tales of Us, transmitted into cinemas from the legendary Air Studios in London.”

Idolator spoke to Alison Goldfrapp last year, who had this to say about working with romantic partner Gunning on this project: “We got about halfway through the album and we thought it’d be great if Lisa got involved. She’s my partner and she’s a really experienced film editor. She said, ‘I’d love to do something for you.’ And I thought, God, yeah, of course. So we all decided what a great idea it would be, and it’d be fun to do. And I’m so pleased — it’s just been an amazing experience working with her. You know, at the beginning I was a little nervous about working with my partner. Sometimes that’s not necessarily the best idea. But I just enjoyed every minute of it.”
