‘NOW 49’ Puts Disney’s ‘Frozen’ Soundtrack On Ice On The Album Chart

There still hasn’t been a pop artist with a solid new album that’s been strong enough to grab the top spot on the Billboard 200 in recent weeks, and so it’s the 49th installment of the NOW That’s What I Call Music series that unseats the Frozen soundtrack. The latter spent four non-consecutive weeks at #1 and has now sold a total of 952,000 copies (with 88,000 moved in the past week). The latest NOW compilation sold 98,000 in its first week out of the gate.

Three other new releases dent the Top 10, including Toni Braxton and Babyface‘s pair-up Love, Marriage & Divorce at #4 (67,000), Broken Bells‘ second outing After The Disco at #5 (44,000) and Little Mix‘s sophomore album, and second Top 10 LP, Salute at #6 (43,000).

Head below to see where the rest of the week’s big players landed in the upper reaches of the main album chart.
