MØ Covers Spice Girls’ “Say You’ll Be There”: Listen & Download For Free
Danish songbird MØ will release her debut LP No Mythologies To Follow on RCA in March, and ahead of that she’s done the one thing that’s guaranteed to get her name out there amongst the pop enthusiast set: A Spice Girls cover. The 25 year old chose the UK girl group’s 1997 (or 1996, depending on which country you live in) confection “Say You’ll Be There” to re-work as an electronic slow jam. Despite this being a completely different arrangement from the original, there is what sounds like a sweet guitar-sample solo in the middle bit, and MØ pulls off the “I’ll give you everything, on this I swear / just promise you’ll always be there!” shout-rap with aplomb.
