Ariana Grande’s “Right There” Originally Featured King Los Instead Of Big Sean: Listen To His Version

Ariana Grande scored a minor hit last year with R&B-lite/pop jam “Right There” but it turns out Big Sean wasn’t her first choice for the rap feature. King Los was the first MC to lend the perky song a verse and he just uploaded his unreleased version to YouTube so everyone can hear it.

There isn’t a world of difference between the King Los demo and finished product. His version is grittier than Sean’s and has a slightly edgier mix but it would have sounded out of place on a bubblegum pop album like Yours Truly. If Ari continues to imitate Mariah Carey‘s career, she can revisit this sound during her inevitable urban phase. Listen after the jump.
