Chvrches Hit The Road In “Recover” Video: Watch
I feel like it’s been a while since we’ve listened to Chvrches doing one of their own songs, thanks to their recent stellar covers of Bauhaus and Arctic Monkeys. But here we have their video for 2013 gem “Recover,” and it’s a travelogue showing them backstage and performing on tour.
Among the live shots is some footage of singer Lauren Mayberry getting all spiky and possessed on stage, showing how much the front woman has developed from her somewhat timid stage presence when they first emerged. The candid shots combined with the effervescent synths and the fact that they made such a huge climb in the past year makes for a pretty wistful affair.
