Lana Del Rey Enlists The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach For ‘Ultraviolence’

Lana Del Rey posted a cryptic update on Ultraviolence today (February 20) via Twitter which seemed to verify rumors that she’s been spending time in Nashville recording. The singer posted a photo of herself getting cozy with The Black Keys front man Dan Auerbach, who lives in Music City, writing “Me and Dan Auerbach are excited to present you Ultraviolence.”

So what does this mean? Is he lending a hand on guitars? On vocals? Is he literally just helping her “present” the album? Or, perhaps most interestingly, he could be doing some/all of the LP’s production. The guy is accomplished behind the boards, having helmed albums from JEFF The Brotherhood, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Jessica Lea Mayfield and Dr. John, as well as his own band’s, and he won a Grammy for Producer of the Year in 2013. (Our feeble minds can’t even comprehend what it would mean if both he and Giorgio Moroder are working on the project.)
