Adam Lambert To Cover The Darkness On ‘Glee’: Listen

Adam Lambert has already covered (and fronted) Queen, so it’s only fitting that he is now covering tongue-in-cheek, Queen-influenced hair metal revival group The Darkness. Quite frankly, we can’t believe it has taken this long, but finally the triforce of theatrical, throaty rock wailing will be complete in this week’s “Frenemies” episode of Glee. (We also can’t believe it’s taken this long for a Glee ep to be called “Frenemies.”)

Lambo and Chris Colfer will be taking on The Darkness’ 2003 hit “I Believe In A Thing Called Love,” and the number takes place in a guitar shop, which is conveniently outfitted with a stripper pole, as you’ll see in the sneak peek after the audio below.

I only tuned in to watch Glee to see Adam perform. I know nothing about this show whatsoever. HIs performance of Marry the Night has about 5,000,000 views on youtube. I cannot wait to see the performance of The Darkness cover. Adam’s powerful rock voice will shine through again. Roger Taylor and Brian May made the best move ever inviting Adam to front the band, Queen.

Here is the audio of the song. Love Adam singing rock.

  3. I can’t wait to see this episode and it’s the talk of the town on social media. So many ppl love Adam and Chris and are excited to see them perform this incredible rock song by Justin Hawkins. It’s ironic that Justin wrote Music Again for Adam on his first album and developed a relationship of mutual respect both as artists and people. Adam’s vocals soar in this song.

  4. Can’t wait to watch Adam perform on Glee. This is the type of music he should be doing.
