For a while there it seemed like this day would never come. Ashanti‘s much-anticipated/delayed fifth studio album Braveheart is now streaming in full ahead of its March 4 release. So was it worth the six year wait? The answer for fans of slick R&B is a resounding yes. Particularly if you grew up listening to the “Foolish” diva in the early ’00s.
Rick Ross-assisted single “I Got It” gives you a better idea of what to expect than dancehall-infused Beanie Man collab “First Real Love”. It’s a slow jam-centric set with big beats and smooth soulful vocals. Highlights include “Love Games” (it features “Birthday Sex” singer Jeremih), “Never Should Have” and the fierce “Don’t Tell Me No”. Listen to Ashanti’s latest in full after the jump.
