Iggy Azalea Dressed As Alicia Silverstone In ‘Clueless’ For Her “Fancy” Video
Iggy Azalea is really taking this new classic/nostalgia thing seriously. After cribbing from Miami Vice for The New Classic‘s cover artwork, it looks like the Aussie MC is channeling ’90s classic Clueless for her “Fancy” video. Naturally, Iggy is taking on Alicia Silverstone‘s iconic role of Cher Horowitz in the homage, which includes a remake of that famous highway driving scene. (NOTE: Out of respect for the artist, we totally paused and took the image down. Don’t worry — you’ll get to see the video soon enough!)
“We did the highway scene and we shot down the highway. We got a crazy grandma and trucks, and it was a lot. It was very fun,” she told Power 106. “Hopefully Alicia thinks that I did it justice.”
So does this mean Charli XCX nabbed the role of Tai?
The New Classic drops April 15, and the “Fancy” video is expected to hit next week.
