While Nicole Scherzinger toils away in the studio on her sophomore/debut album (depending where you live), a demo apparently from her underrated Killer Love opus has surfaced online. “Part Of Me” — sadly not a Katy Perry cover — is a simple piano ballad that showcases the former Pussycat Doll diva’s impressive pipes.

“I left a piece of me for you, that’s gotta count for something,” she sings over tinkling keys. “You took much more than you care to see, I left a part of me.” From there Nicole continues to pour out her heart, reminding her loser boyfriend exactly what she’s missing. This is a good sound for the 35-year-old. Hopefully, she can incorporate it into her next album. Listen after the jump.
