Jessica Sanchez Joins Forces With Jencarlos Canela On “The Night I Danced With You”: Listen

Mar 3rd, 2014 // 5 Comments

Jessica Sanchez teams up with Cuban American crooner Jencarlos Canela on “The Night I Danced With You” — another track from the forthcoming Heartbeat Of Home soundtrack. (The 18-year-old’s lovely “Lead Me Home” also features in the Riverdance-inspired spectacular, which airs on PBS later this month).

So what can you expect from the American Idol runner-up’s latest offering? Well, it’s a cute but extremely cheesy ballad that finds the teen trading verses with Jencarlos over plucked guitar, strings and even pan-pipes. “The Night I Danced With You” belongs in Disney movie. I can totally see Cinderella or Belle twirling at the ball to this tune! Anyway, it’s always a treat to hear the Jessica’s powerful pipes. Listen after the jump.

What do you make of Jessica’s latest tune? Let us know in the comments below.

I think the author of this article needs to remember the context of this song. She was asked to lend her vocals to the soundtrack for a stage irish dance production. The author makes it sound like this is a new single or something.

Jessica’s voice is pure God-given quality with hard work added for seasoning. She has golden vocal chords.
