Jennifer Lopez’s “I Luh Ya Papi” Drops: Hear The French Montana-Assisted Urban Club Banger

You know the old saying about not judging a book by its cover? Well, it turns out you shouldn’t judge a song by its title either. My eyes rolled when I heard Jennifer Lopez‘s new single was called “I Luh Ya Papi” but the Detail-produced banger premiered today (March 5) and it’s actually rather great.

Sure, the lyrics are questionable (“I got the hourglass for you, baby look at these legs!”) and the song is essentially an update of 2011 hit “I’m Into You” but the production is jam-packed with catchy hooks and the chorus is terrifyingly catchy. It’s only a matter of time before this becomes a meme. Oh and French Montana spits a few bars about Jenny keeping it real. Listen to J.Lo’s latest after the jump.

The verses are good but the pre-hook is really weak. Could have been better with a stronger vocalist.

To be honest this kind of sucks really bad…
In this case, I believe you can judge the song by it’s title..
“I Luh Ya Papi”? I luh ya papi??? That title is lazy, dated, corny and just plain dumb. Now lets take the face-palm title and turn it into a chorus by repeating it over and over and over and over until the word papi sounds like a mix of puppy and poopy.
    NOT impressed at all.
Great production, great melody, and a great flow. Terrible lyrics and terrible execution of said lyrics.
Moving on. This song will go nowhere.

this has got to be the worst song that she has put out by far, if she was one of the idol hopefuls doing this she would be gone gone gone
