More rumors of Lady Gaga‘s demise! This time, there are claims across the Web that her artRAVE: ARTPOP Ball Tour is shaping up to be a flop and huge loss for Live Nation, but an executive for the company called the rumors “ridiculous.” Arthur Fogel, Chairman of Live Nation’s Global Touring division, says 80% of tickets in North America and Europe have sold, and that the 29 shows that are on sale in North America have already grossed $26 million in ticket sales.

“The run with Gaga over the last two tours has been incredibly successful, and this one is shaping up no differently,” Fogel told BillboardHe also addressed specific reports that her Milwaukee show was underselling: “When something like Milwaukee specifically comes up, that show has sold 14,264 tickets, the gross is $961,000, and it’s at the end of June. I just don’t know how this shit gets any traction without people doing their homework.”

Regarding the report that Gaga’s tour has lost Live Nation $30 million, Fogel said, “Just a complete fool would say something like that, and it could only come from somebody who has an agenda, because it makes absolutely no sense, on any level.”

In fact, things are going so swimmingly that Live Nation is about to announce six more shows in North America and additional dates in the UK. So, once again, the Little Monsters can take a deep breath.
