A best-selling autobiography. A new label deal. A possible novel in the works. An upcoming spring tour. Yes, everything is falling into place once again for alt-pop icon Morrissey, whose last LP, Years Of Refusal, was released over five years ago. Now that album, his 10th, has a typically Moz-esque title: World Peace Is None Of Your Business.

Shake a fist and roll your eyes all you want — there’s no denying that the lone-wolf, Manchester, England, crooner has a way with words. Today the Morrissey-sanctioned fansite TrueToYou.net posted that the upcoming record “has been provisionally set for late June/early July release worldwide by Harvest Records thru Capitol. Morrissey is said to be ‘beyond ecstatic’ with the album, all 12 tracks of which were produced by Joe Chiccarelli in France.”

Chiccarelli, a Grammy winner several times over, previously lent his production talents to such albums as Christina Perri‘s Lovestrong and engineered the White StripesIcky Thump.

Meanwhile, ahead of Morrissey’s, um, provisional summer release, he’ll head out on the road across North America for a month and a half, covering California, New York and pretty much everywhere in between. Full tour dates can be seen here.
