Angel Haze Keeps It Simple In “A Tribe Called Red” Video: Watch

The curious case of Angel Haze continues, this time with her video for “A Tribe Called Red,” her fire-breathing EDM banger from Dirty Gold. There was a decent amount of extraneous bullshit surrounding that album’s release, so perhaps as a reaction to all that, she’s kept the visual for this track pretty minimalist, allowing the music to be the focus again.

The black-and-white clip finds Angel rapping on a soundstage, with a few cool lights littered across the floor. It was directed by Rollo Jackson, and shows that the MC is at her best when the music is poppy but not neutered and the rapid-fire rhymes are inspirational without being cloying.

Check it out up top.
