Sia To Release New Music On March 17: Could It Be Lead Single “Chandelier”?

Australia’s Sia Furler has become one of pop’s most effective weapons in recent years, and she’s set to return with her own music next week. Sia posted the above street art displaying a March 17 date across her social media accounts, along with the caption “COMING SOON.” Late last year, she said she was working with longtime collaborator Greg Kurstin to finish up an album, so whether that’s the release date for a single or the full album remains to be seen. (Our own Bradley Stern recently interviewed Sia producer and Kurstin associate Jesse Shatkin, who revealed that the LP’s lead single is called “Chandelier,” so our hunch is that March 17 is the premiere date for that song.)

Sia’s last solo album, We Are Born, came out in 2010. Since then, she has been a highly sought after songwriter, penning hits for everyone from Rihanna to Beyonce to Britney. See her tweet below.
