Two Dudes From Pentatonix Cover Beyonce’s Entire ‘Visual Album’ In Under Six Minutes: Watch

Covering a Beyonce song is a daunting task for any artist (how are you going to improve on perfection?) but covering an entire LP is unheard of. Until now. Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying from a cappella group Pentatonix condensed Queen Bey’s visual album into a sprawling six minute song and it’s mind-blowing.

There’s so much to love here. Mitch and Scott obviously have amazing voices — their group won NBC’s The Sing-Off, after all — but their attention to detail is staggering. The way they capture Beyonce’s multi-layered sound without instruments is incredible, let alone their ability to do justice to her gorgeous genre-hopping LP. Oh and they even have Bey’s “serfboart” refrain down pat! Watch in awe up top.
