Ryan Tedder Crowned The ‘Undercover King Of Pop’ On The Cover Of ‘Billboard’ Magazine

OneRepublic frontman and songwriter-for-hire Ryan Tedder has been crowned the ‘undercover king of pop’ by Billboard magazine. The 34-year-old, who also graces the cover, has certainly helped shape the sound of popular music more than most over the past 12 months — writing hits for artists like Beyonce, Maroon 5 and Ellie Goulding as well as delivering his own (the inescapable “Counting Stars”).

In the accompanying interview, Ryan reveals that he has written two singles for Ariana Grande‘s sophomore LP, created new music for OneRepublic and co-penned tunes for Mikky Ekko. Oh and he also contributed a song to Taylor Swift‘s next album. No biggie! The hitmaker declares that he enjoys relative anonymity and has considered one day trolling hipsters with an edgy side-project.
