One Direction Takes It Back To The ’80s For Their Record Store Day Limited Edition 7″ Vinyl

Mar 17th, 2014 // 2 Comments

One Direction has gone above and beyond for this year’s Record Store Day (April 19). The boys are releasing a limited edition 7″ vinyl of “Midnight Memories” complete with an amusing new cover that finds the chart-busting fivesome dressed as an ’80s hair band. Move over, Bon Jovi!

As an added bonus, the collector’s item comes with a live version of “Rock Me” (taken from their movie One Direction: This Is Us) as the B-side. Other acts taking part in the initiative include Katy Perry, Jay Z Linkin Park and David Bowie. None of these must-have items will be available online, so find your nearest participating store now.

I’m actually getting one of these just for the fun of it. Maybe it’ll be worth something someday. ;) Katy Perry and Sky Ferreira are also releasing picture discs this year for Record Store Day. If anyone is in the Portland area, you can find all these at Everyday Music & Everyday Music in Beaverton.

  2. I’m definitely getting one!
