One of the most exciting new releases of 2014 is deep house slow-burner “My Love,” from London producer Route 94 (real name: Rowan Jones) and up-and-coming vocalist Jess Glynne. The track just recently spent time at the top of the UK chart, where it followed another upbeat #1 hit featuring Glynne, Clean Bandit‘s “Rather Be.”

Sadly, “My Love” hasn’t gotten a push in the States (though it is available currently on iTunes, via 2013 dance compilation Annie Mac Presents)…until now. The song is set for an American release on April 8 via Island Def Jam subsidiary 4th And B’Way.

Says Island Def Jam label vice president Matt D’Arduini (via a press release), “We pursued signing Route 94 vigorously because he’s at the forefront of the resurgence of deep house in the United States and fits perfectly into our objective of identifying and developing dance artists with unique points of view and styles.”

The Ryan Staake-directed music video for “My Love” details one young man’s journey into the nightlife, mostly shot through the lens of a thermal camera, as he picks up a one-night stand at a club, goes back to her place for the dirty deed then heads back home.
