Taylor Swift Appears In ‘The Giver’ Trailer For Approximately One Second: Morning Mix

Did You Hear?

:: Taylor Swift isn’t known for her acting ability (did you see Valentine’s Day?), which could explain why the country music superstar appears in the trailer of new film The Giver for about one second. I hope she writes a song about the studio’s obvious shade! [Billboard]

:: If it happened, it will eventually surface online. Case in point. Daft Punk‘s Grammy rehearsal video found its way to YouTube and, sadly for them, it’s significantly better than their actual performance. [Consequence Of Sound]

:: The INXS revival continues apace with British trio London Grammar covering the band’s 1989 hit “Devil Inside” for the new Game Of Thrones trailer. Now someone just has to cover “Don’t Change” and we can all move on. [Stereogum]

:: And the award for the douchiest lawsuit of 2014 goes to John Mayer. He’s suing his celebrity watch dealer (yes, that’s a thing) for selling him counterfeit time pieces. It turns out he was ripped off $5 million. [Billboard]

After the jump, find out what music you can catch on TV today.

:: The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (NBC) — Billy Joel
:: Late Night With Seth Meyers (NBC) — Band Of Skulls
:: Tavis Smiley (PBS) — Martina McBride
:: Live With Kelly & Michael (syndicated) — Cher
:: Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) — Enrique Iglesias

  1. This the biggest BS! She was given the small part in the movie by Weinstein because he liked how she performed in concert, and Valentine’s Day was such as cheesy movie. Everyone was given stupid lines, except for Julia Roberts. It reflected poorly on everyone. BTW, a lot of people in the entertainment industry think she can be good actress Katie Holmes heaped compliments on Taylor after filming, and Odeya Rush turned into a big fan of of Taylor’s. How can she be expected to bee seen a lot in the trailer when she only had a small part. Get some real writers. Your’s are crap.

Yes! This is BS. Taylor Swift has a small role in the Giver. Why would she have a bigger role in the trailer? But what gives you the right to demean the woman because she doesn’t really appear in the trailer. What gives you the reason to state that she doesn’t appear in the trailer because she is not a good actress. Even Not liking Taylor, does not give you the right to demean her. And how do you know that Billboard is shading Taylor. She has a small role in the movie. That is the fact, not what you are purporting. Get real!
