Justin Bieber Previews New Track Produced By DJ Mustard: Watch
DJ Mustard has become one of the most in-demand hip-hop producers of the past year or so, thanks to his laid back take on West Coast swagger and his ability to combine a sense of stillness with thudding, direct percussion. He was behind the boards for YG‘s My Krazy Life, and even before that critically acclaimed album dropped this week, the producer had logged studio time with Rihanna and 2 Chainz (“I’m Different”).
And now it looks like Justin Bieber has linked up with the purveyor of ratchet music. In a new snippet posted by Bieber, part of the “Mustard on the beat” tag can be heard at the top of the video, and the gummy bass line and snaps underneath Biebs’ croon are trademark Mustard. Bieber himself didn’t reveal any details in the post, only writing, “Girls be in the the club like OMG this is my song!!!!! Lol.”
