Eric Hutchinson‘s third album Pure Fiction arrives on April 8 but we’ve got an exclusive preview of a track from the much-anticipated set to tide you over. “Forever” is a typically literate and inescapably catchy guitar-pop tune from the talented singer-songwriter, which promises great things for the LP.

“Tell me how you know that nothing lasts forever?” asks Kelly Clarkson‘s pal (she toured with him and covered “Why Don’t You Try” on her Stronger album) over strummed guitars and the occasional synth. The result is radio-friendly top 40 pop that sounds like Brandon Flowers in a mellow mood. Listen to Eric’s killer track after the jump and check out his website for tour dates.
