Ed Sheeran Recorded A Dance Anthem With “Animals” Producer Martin Garrix

After dabbling in hip-hop on Lupe Fiasco‘s “Old School”, Ed Sheeran is planning his first EDM adventure with Dutch producer Martin Garrix. The DJ opened up about the looming collaboration at a press conference in Miami, revealing that the song isn’t finished or even approved by their respective labels (yet) but the vocal has been recorded.

The 17-year-old wunderkind is already one of the hottest names in EDM, burning up the Billboard Hot 100 with breakthrough hit “Animals”. It’s still sitting pretty in the top 30 —  an incredible achievement for an instrumental dance anthem. If the track with Ed eventuates, it will be Martin’s first single with a topline and, no doubt, another crossover hit.
