Beyonce’s “Grown Woman” Gets A Visual Upgrade: Watch The (Much Improved) Alternate Version
Beyonce‘s visual album is the gift that keeps on giving. A couple of weeks ago the director’s cut of the diva’s blockbuster “Haunted” video surfaced online and, now, an alternate version of much-loved bonus track “Grown Woman” arrives. And, surprisingly enough, it’s a big improvement on the original.
The original “Grown Woman” video is memorable for the cute cameos (Kelly Rowland, Tina Knowles and Solange) and colorful costume changes but feels slightly out of place on Beyonce due to its grainy approach and, particularly, that annoying damaged-VHS visual effect. Those faults are erased in the crisp and colorful alternate version. The clip feels even more vibrant and joyous now. Watch Bey’s tribute to independent women up top.
