Samantha Jade Fires “Up!” On Infectious Floorfiller: Listen To The Aussie Diva’s New Single
Samantha Jade unveiled the cute cover of “Up!” a couple of weeks but the pop diva finally dropped the Mario Marchetti-produced club anthem in full. And it’s an absolute party-starter, which could explain why the Australian soccer team (nick-named the Socceroos) has adopted it as their theme song for the 2014 World Cup in Brasil.
“We own the night so let’s turn it up until we reach the other side,” coos the Aussie X Factor winner over summery synths that sound custom-made for an Ibiza sunset. There’s definitely a touch of Jennifer Lopez‘s “Let’s Get Loud” about the infectious anthem. Particularly the carnivale-tastic chorus, which finds Samantha singing “up up up!” a lot.
