Lady Gaga Hopes To Release ‘ARTPOP’ Sequel “Soon”

Lady Gaga took over American Top 40 this weekend, and she used the platform to resurrect those rumors of an ARTPOP sequel, hinting that a release could be imminent. “I wrote a lot of songs when I was creating ARTPOP. When I was done working on them I had a very specific idea of the concept for the first release of ARTPOP,” NME quoted her as saying. “There’s a strong possibility I will release another volume of ARTPOP and I’m really hoping that it’s soon.”

The prospect of two volumes has been in play pretty much since Gaga first announced the existence of ARTPOP, when she indicated she wanted to do a commercial volume and an experimental volume. That idea seems to have been scrapped, but talk of a sequel has lived on, perhaps most promisingly in November, when she suggested that “Act II” could be out before her artRave: ARTPOP Ball tour kicks off.
