Frank Ocean’s Sophomore Album Is Almost Finished

Frank Ocean announced on his Tumblr that he may skip the Coachella festivities (he’d be going as a civilian, not a performer) in order to put the finishing touches on his Channel Orange follow-up. In the new post, Ocean revealed that he’s opening for Outkast at Canada’s Pemberton Music Festival in July, and indicated he may need to hunker down so he can finish his new material in time for the gig. “I MIGHT SKIP ON COACHELLA TO STAY IN THE GROOVE AND FINISH THIS BITCH,” he wrote in all caps. Of course, this is all based on the assumption that “this bitch” is the album.

Ultimately, though, Ocean may end up hailing a chopper for a quick trip to Coachella anyway to check out the ATLiens. “I FEEL LIKE THEY’RE FINNA WILD OUT THO. FUCK IT.. BRING THE HELICOPTER OUT.”

A couple weeks ago, frequent Ocean collaborator Nabil posted a photo of the Grammy winner in the studio at work on his sophomore LP.
