MNEK’s “Every Little Word”: Listen To The Funky R&B-Pop Jam

Two years ago, London singer-songwriter MNEK (real name: Uzoechi Osisioma Emenike) cranked out a fairly fantastic electro-pop re-imagining of Kylie Minogue‘s 1994 ballad “Put Yourself In My Place.” Then lo and behold, he found himself producing Kylie’s “Feels So Good” for her recently-released Kiss Me Once album.

After racking up a UK hit in his own right this year as the featured vocalist on Gorgon City‘s moody “Ready For Your Love,” 19-year-old MNEK is finally striking out on his own with the slinky slice of funk “Every Little Word.” PopJustice referred to the song today as an “amazingly-produced, keychange-happy experimental pop” jam. Which, really, about says it all.

Give MNEK’s soulful new track a listen below.
