Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap”: Hear The Seismic ‘Fault In Our Stars’ Single

Charli XCX has released a new single for the forthcoming film adaptation of John Green‘s The Fault In Our Stars. The True Romance star revealed newfound punk ambitions in songs she’s revealed over the past few months, like the scuzzy, furious and X-Ray Spexchanneling “Allergic to Love” and cleaned-up (in comparison, anyway) “Breaking Up.” However, “Boom Clap” sees Charli XCX abandoning the dingy, hole-in-the-wall venues for stadium settings. It’s a 180-turn that’s seismic but has a sheen to it, and it’s just as delightful as her other, recent output.

Lykki Li will also release a song for the Fault In Our Stars soundtrack, titled “No One Will Be Loved.” Until then, hear Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap” after the jump.
