If you thought Charlie Wilson‘s soaring, soulful vocals on Kanye West‘s 2013 juggernaut “Bound 2” sounded positively uplifting, wait till you hear them slapped atop a drum and bass beat with an electronic accompaniment. London dance duo Sigma initially remixed “Bound 2” and offered it up as a free download earlier this year. Three months, some local radio airplay and a professional recording session later, their rendition, “Nobody To Love,” now has a colorful music video (featuring two beautiful women frolicking in the Cape Town sun) and is currently the #1 single in the UK.

“Nobody To Love” is just latest retro-sounding dance tune to top the British chart, following Clean Bandit‘s “Rather Be,” Route 94‘s “My Love” and Duke Dumont‘s “I Got U” — and the streak looks set to continue, as Kiesza‘s own ’90s house throwback, “Hideaway,” is already #1 on UK iTunes following its release this past Sunday.

Does Sigma’s re-working of “Bound 2” have you dancing joyously in front of your computer? If so, you’ll be happy to note that it’s currently available on US iTunes.
