Is Gwen Stefani Replacing Christina Aguilera On ‘The Voice’?

Gwen Stefani may be replacing Christina Aguilera on The Voice. Her “contract is now done” for the show’s seventh season, an NBC rep said to Us Weekly.

Reports say that NBC began searching for a coach to replace Aguilera after the Lotus siren announced her second pregnancy in February. While the network had hoped that she would stay during her pregnancy, Aguilera instead opted out. Stefani would be joining returning coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, plus newcomer Pharrell (who is replacing Cee Lo Green).

Funny enough, Pharrell hinted of a comeback from Stefani at Coachella, after she performed “Hollaback Girl” to the crowd’s surprise. “Before she leaves, I have not seen her in nine months,” Pharrell said, of the recent birth of Stefani’s third son Apollo. “Look how amazing the queen looks as she is making her arrival back to the music industry.”

Would Stefani make for a good Voice coach? Weigh in at the comments below.
