Kanye West’s ‘Yeezus’ Film Poster [UPDATE]

UPDATE: A rep from from Def Jam has confirmed that the poster is a fake.

In late 2012, artwork for Kanye West‘s purported album Black American Psycho emerged, and while it turned out to be bogus, it certainly seems to have foreshadowed this era of Ye’s aesthetic. To promote Yeezus, West linked up with American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis for an homage to the iconic film, and after that, Ellis revealed he had been meeting with West about writing a separate script for the rapper. And now we know the script in question was for Yeezus: The Film, thanks to the appropriately bloody official poster.

The gray poster features a raspberry above the title, with what could either be blood or raspberry juice spatters below, and the top is bordered by the same color panel that appeared on the side of 808s & Heartbreak — which is consistent with the trailer’s use of “Coldest Winter” from that album.

An image of the poster was first uploaded to Instagram by Milk Studios, which is where West held his Yeezus listening session. Check out the full version of the poster with credits below.
