Dev Covers Katy Perry: Listen To Her Mash-Up Of “Part Of Me” And “The One That Got Away”

Dev returned to the music scene late last year with Sage The Gemini-assisted club banger “Kiss It”. To help build hype for her comeback, the dance diva has recorded an experimental EP called Not All Love Songs Have To Be Sad with friend/producer NanosauR and uploaded it to SoundCloud as a fan freebie. It’s an interesting experiment with one huge surprise.

The 24-year-old delivers a killer mash-up of Katy Perry‘s “Part Of Me” and “The One That Got Away”. It’s astonishing how seamlessly the songs blend together to form something completely new. While the Prism hitmaker’s originals were defiant and wistful (respectfully), Dev’s interpretation is downright numb and apathetic. Listen to the icy synth-gem after the jump.
