Demi Lovato Recorded (But Decided Not To Release) A Solo Version Of “Really Don’t Care”: Listen

Demi Lovato recently announced Cher Lloyd collaboration “Really Don’t Care” as the fourth single from Demi but she almost went with a solo version instead. The “Neon Lights” diva re-recorded the infectious kiss-off anthem, adding a new verse to replace the Brit’s rap. Radio Disney played the revised edit three times today (May 16) before it was pulled.

“You tried to break me down like I would hit the ground,” sings Demi in the alternate version before getting really angry and declaring: “you just don’t mean enough to really mess me up.” Take that, asshole! The absence of Cher’s cheeky rap makes the song sound more angry and adult. Kind of like an upbeat Kelly Clarkson anthem — only with lyrics about raised fingers. Listen after the jump.
