Andy Bull Drops (Yet) Another Synth-Pop Gem With “Talk Too Much”: Listen

Andy Bull made the transition from blue-eyed soul singer to synth-pop purveyor look effortless in 2013 by dropping two of the year’s best singles (“Keep On Running” and “Baby I Am Nobody Now”). He then disappeared from the face of the earth. Happily, the talented Aussie is back with another genuinely great pop tune and a July 11 release date for much-anticipated sophomore LP Sea Of Approval.

“Talk Too Much” has a more stripped back sound than Andy’s previous synth-pop gems. Real instruments now vie for space among the rubbery synths, which imbues the track with a warm retro vibe. It sounds like an ’80s track voiced by a ’70s pop star, which is kind of why it’s awesome. That and the fact that the chorus is borderline parasitic — worming its way into your brain on the very first listen. Find it after the jump.
