Bruno Mars Joined By Brad Pitt (On Tambourine) To Cover James Brown: Watch
“I got you,” Bruno Mars said to Brad Pitt.
For the second year in a row on May 17, Pitt threw a star-studded gala to benefit his housing organization Make It Right. Mars was one of two featured acts, so naturally he put Pitt to work. As shown in clips that started surfacing this week, the 12 Years a Slave producer played tambourine as Mars and his band covered James Brown‘s “Sex Machine,” though not without a proper introduction.
“Benjamin Button,” Mars said. He paused. “BENJAMIN BUTTON.”
His introduction was delightful. So is when he said, “Brad Pitt, you sexy motherfucker!” And so is when Pitt winds his arm like a baseball pitcher, loosens up and actually starts to vibe with a fellow tambourine player.
