Katy Perry And Kacey Musgraves Share The Cover Of ‘Billboard’ Magazine
Katy Perry sure gets around. The “Birthday” diva recently shot an eye-popping S&M-themed pictorial with Madonna for V magazine and today (May 23), she appears on the cover of Billboard with country queen Kacey Musgraves looking like the girl next door. (With green dye in her hair). They are both total cuties, so this was always going to work.
Why the pairing? Well, Kacey is the opening act for Katy’s Prismatic tour in the US and they just see eye to eye. “We’re both very whimsical in our own ways, but I think at heart we’re both songwriters,” says the “Follow Your Arrow” songbird. The feeling is mutual. “She struck a chord in me,” her superstar friend explains. Interestingly, the duo also collaborated on songs for Prism. They didn’t make the cut but how about throwing a demo or two on SoundCloud? It will be our secret.
