Kanye West Blasts Media Coverage Of Kim Kardashian In Wedding Speech

Details of Kanye West‘s wedding speech are starting to surface. And they do not disappoint.

Following the high-profile ceremony in Florence, West praised Kim Kardashian while remarking on the “public warfare” – there isn’t an explanation for this yet, unfortunately – and the media coverage of her and her family, with select media present.

“They feel like it’s okay to put you on the tabloid covers to sell your image, to use you in an SNL spoof,” he said, according to Us Weekly. “We don’t negotiate. We’re not like that. We’re not stupid.” He also called Kardashian “the ideal celebrity … the ideal art.”

To his credit, the coverage surrounding their nuptials seems to prove him right. E! was there, documenting what they call “the road to Kim and Kanye’s wedding” for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. So was former Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley, for a Vogue travel diary.

“The lunch was intimate, with a first course of artichoke hearts salad and poached egg with hollandaise,” Talley writes. “The second course? A baked sea bass with zucchini sliced to simulate fish scales, a mix of vegetable tempura (also a favorite of North’s, who tried with her few teeth coming in to chew on a slim carrot slice), and a typical saffron risotto Milanese.”

Take it all in: Zucchini, sliced to simulate fish scales. North West, chewing on vegetable tempura. A typical saffron risotto. Sounds ideal, all right.
