Jessie J Performs Four New Songs At Rock In Rio: Watch

Jessie J has spent 2014 camped out in the recording studio, readying the U.S. release of sophomore album Alive, and, apparently, a third album. So during Rock at Rio in Lisbon and Madrid, she was more than eager to share some of her new material from the latter. To preface “Keep It Together,” a song she initially teased six months ago, she even made an announcement-turned-surprising request. “I really, really would love Justin Timberlake to sing on the song with me one day,” she said, to cheers from the crowd.

Jessie J delivers sass at moments, like in “Sweet Talker” (above) and at the sung-rap hook of “Ain’t Been Done,” though her new material isn’t as deliberately fiery as Alive‘s debut single “Wild.” Instead, she’s alternating between sweeter, uplifting pop and intimate acoustic numbers, like “You Don’t Really Know Me” – a song she prefaced by saying, ““Sometimes I don’t know how to be famous, and it freaks me out.” Hear that, “Keep Us Together” and “Ain’t Been Done” below.
