OneRepublic Debut Their Weird And Wonderful “Love Runs Out” Video: Watch

According to frontman Ryan Tedder, “Love Runs Out” was originally going to be the first single from OneRepublic‘s Native LP but he couldn’t quite finish the chorus and eventually shelved the swamp-rock anthem altogether. The hitmaker happily found the time to fix it up for the deluxe edition of the album, and it’s currently shooting up iTunes.

The band unveiled the Sophie Muller-directed visual of their next big hit today (June 4) and it’s a highly conceptual affair filmed on a soundstage. We’re treated to Ryan cavorting with an elderly lady in a fake desert, a troupe of traditional dancers and some frantic tambourine work. The treatment doesn’t quite suit the song but at least it’s different. Watch up top.
