Sam Smith’s “Reminds Me Of You”: Listen To His Collab With “Royals” Producer Joel Little

Last Fall, Sam Smith hit the studio with Joel Little, the producer behind Lorde‘s Song Of The Year Grammy winner “Royals.” One of the fruits of their labor is “Reminds Me Of You,” a bonus track that will appear on the Target-exclusive edition of Smith’s upcoming debut LP In The Lonely Hour (out June 17).

“He’s working on his album and I’ve always been a big fan of his voice and his songwriting so we found some time to get together,” Little, who hails from New Zealand, told Billboard in November. “We get into the room together and talk about what we’ve been listening to and what we feel like working on. I’ll just start by putting a beat together. Sometimes I have things, like starting points in songs prepared, and we’ll go through those, but if there’s nothing getting us particularly excited, I’ll just make something.”

Today, Target premiered a 30-second snippet of “Reminds Me Of You.” If the slower pace of Sam’s hit ballad “Stay With Me” isn’t your thing, and you lean more toward his work with Naughty Boy and Disclosure, you might enjoy what we can hear of this soaring pop track so far. Give it a listen below!
