Passenger’s ‘Whispers’: Stream The Full Album

You certainly can’t accuse Passenger of resting on his laurels. After breaking big with haunting folk-pop gem “Let Her Go” earlier this year, the Brit moved straight on to his fifth studio album Whispers.  The moving set of carefully crafted songs drops June 10 but is now streaming in full ahead of its official release. And it’s well worth checking out.

Recorded in Sydney, Australia with co-producer Chris Vallejo, Whispers is spearheaded by lead single “Scare Away The Dark”. It shows a different side of the 30-year-old with its rambling rant against technology but most of the LP stays true to Passenger’s tried and tested formula of heartfelt folk songs (“Heart’s On Fire” is a highlight) with a sprinkling of uptempo numbers (“Start A Fire” and “Bullets”).

Expect insightful lyrics, delicate melodies and an eclectic array of instruments including the harmonica and cello. Find the streaming link after the jump.

You can hear Passenger’s new LP in full over at iTunes. Take a listen and let us know what you think in the comments below.
