Baauer Returns With The Surprisingly Great “Look Both Ways”: Listen To The Tim Vocals Collaboration

After Baauer hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 last year with his viral, bedroom-made “Harlem Shake,” it was on him to prove he had actual musical credibility. Following up his initial success wasn’t as easy as it seemed, but the Philly-born DJ/producer has finally struck upon a truly great R&B-electro number in the form of “Look Both Ways.”

Harlem singer Tim Vocals provides, um, vocals here, and does a damn fine job at giving a smooth touch to Baauer’s murky, slow-building synth track. Be sure to stick around for the chorus that, despite the “n***r it’s dark, it’s dark, it’s dark / don’t make me come and tear your world apart” lyrics, manages to come off as chillingly euphoric.

Good stuff to end end the work week on. Give “Look Both Ways” a listen below.
