Tony Awards 2014: Watch Hugh Jackman, T.I. And LL Cool J’s “Rock Island” Rap From ‘The Music Man’

Flashy Broadway fare like Hedwig And The Angry Inch, A Raisin In The Sun and All The Way proved to be big winners at the 2014 Tony Awards on Sunday evening (June 8), but it was host Hugh Jackman‘s pair-up with LL Cool J and T.I. for a rap version of “Rock Island,” the opening number from 1957 classic The Music Man, that has everyone either still talking over the watercooler or just scratching their head altogether. And, according to CNN, you can thank Questlove for producing that drum beat..

Let’s just blame Ellen DeGeneres and her damn star-studded selfie seen ’round the world from the Oscars for this stunt, as well as the fact that every award show host from here on out has their surprise-factor work cut out for them.

Watch Hugh, LL and Tip cut it up at the Tonys above.
