Gwen Stefani And No Doubt Sign Up With Legendary Music Manager Irving Azoff

Imagine for a minute if Gwen Stefani were to pull a Beyonce and — ta da! — surprise-release a new solo album some night this summer or fall. Would you entirely lose your shit? Because I’ll admit, I recently dug out and have been listening to Love.Angel.Music.Baby. again (that album is almost 10 years old!) and it’s still a classic…and Gwen really, really needs to come back to us with more music.

Anyway, now that that’s out of the way, there is more activity in the land of Stefani today, as Billboard is reporting both she and her band No Doubt have signed management deals with 66-year-old music titan Irving Azoff (Christina Aguilera, The Eagles, Van Halen). The publication points out that Stefani and her bandmates recently parted ways with their previous manager of 15 years, Jim Guerinot of Rebel Waltz Management.

All of this news follows Gwen signing on to replace the now-pregnant Christina Aguilera as a coach on this fall’s seventh season of The Voice, plus her recent performances with her “Hollaback Girl” producer Pharrell Williams at Coachella in April and on The Voice in May.

Things do indeed seem to be moving in a direction that indicates we might have new material from either Gwen solo (yes!) or No Doubt (okay, sure) in our hands and ears sooner rather than later.

Are you holla-ing as loud as I am for this to happen?
