Kylie Minogue To Star In Action Movie ‘San Andreas 3D’ With Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
Kylie Minogue is returning to the big screen! The pop icon, who recently hinted that “Sexy Love” will be the third single from new LP Kiss Me Once, has signed on for a starring role opposite Dwayne Johnson in a new disaster movie about a massive earthquake called San Adreas 3D. It will be directed by Brad Peyton and filmed on the Gold Coast in Australia.
This won’t be the first time Kylie has appeared in a special effects-laden blockbuster. Who will ever forget her turn as a kickboxing action hero in Jean-Claude Van Damme‘s 1994 flop Street Fighter (I legit love that movie) or her iconic role as Dr. Petra Von Kant — say it out loud — in Pauly Shore comedy Bio-Dome. While those didn’t fare so well at the box office, she did have a memorable cameo in Baz Luhrmann‘s Moulin Rouge! and won rave reviews for her part in the award-winning Holy Motors.
