Robin Thicke Names New Album After Ex-Wife ‘Paula’

Rap-Up reports that Robin Thicke named his new album Paula – after his ex-wife.

When Thicke and actress Paula Patton split up in February after nine years of marriage, the couple issued a statement: “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.” Since then, though, Thicke has acted as if the decision wasn’t mutual at all. He’s dedicated songs to her at concerts. He titled Paula‘s lead single “Get Her Back.” And at the Billboard Music Awards, he thanked Patton “for putting up with me for all these years.”

Of course, Paula (out July) quickly follows 2013’s Blurred Lines and the monumental success of its title single, which Thicke owes to collaborators like Pharrell, Timbaland and Dr. Luke. For Paula, however, Thicke intends to write and produce all the songs himself. Now that’s dedication.
