Eminem And Sia Collaborated On A New Song For Denzel Washington Movie ‘The Equalizer’

Jun 12th, 2014 // 3 Comments

Eminem previously collaborated with voice-for-hire Sia on The Marshall Mathers LP 2 bonus track “Beautiful Pain”. That song wasn’t particularly memorable, so the unlikely duo have something to prove with their contribution to The Equalizer soundtrack — a new action movie starring Denzel Washington, which is based on the similarly-titled TV show.

You can hear a snippet of the song in the film’s trailer. “Afraid I will never find a way out, so here I am and I will not run,” sings Sia in her typically throaty tone while Em raps: “it’s too late to start over, this is the only thing, only thing I know.” The collab sounds a little underwhelming but it’s hard to judge when the song is interspersed between dialogue. Watch the preview after the jump.

Sounds like the usual, generic, “moody” R&B/hip-hop stuff that will be forgotten in 5 minutes. The would have been better served using an updated version of the ACTUAL theme from “The Equalizer.” Pity the film industry has to cater to the broadest of audiences, but it’s a necessary evil.

    Yeah such a pity

The song sounds pretty bitchin’ to me. The movie looks like its gonna be good. If not whatever, but I’m itching to hear the whole song.
