Pitbull, Pharrell & Dr. Luke To Be Honored At Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame

Pitbull, Pharrell and hitmaking producer Dr. Luke will be honored at Hollywood’s Walk of Fame next year. They join a few other worthy nominees in music, including legendary funk band Kool & The Gang and seven-time Grammy-winning engineer Al Schmitt. Last year, Jennifer Lopez was presented with her own star on the Walk of Fame. But to Mr. Worldwide, as noted during his June 19 Tonight Show stop, all that matters is that he will be added to Walk of Fame the same year as Modern Family siren Sofia Vergara.

“Sofia, keep your distance from Pitbull, okay?” host Jimmy Fallon said to the camera. “He’s Mr. 305 here.”

Given the past year, this list of honorees makes sense. As even Pitbull realizes, people are still talking about that World Cup opening ceremony performance. (“Who would have ever thought that the talk of the performance would have been some rolled-up pants?” he said on The Tonight Show.) Pharrell’s still finding fan tributes to “Happy,” and Dr. Luke’s found yet another winning protege in teenaged rapper Becky Gwho’s got some exciting plans in store.
